  1. Sit in a chair and inhale deeply.
  2. Then, exhale slowly and drawing your navel to your spine.
  3. Next, inhale and take about 15 short puffing exhales.
  4. End with another deep, long inhale and exhale.

Boredom or rather the elimination of boredom.

I find myself reading a lot of differenct blogs mostly from other coaches and consultants, it is a good way to stay on top of the Hot topics of the week. It also allows me to get a glispe into other people’s lives. I am a people watcher at heart so this is great fun.

Reading Yanik Silver blog Internet Lifestyle. He had a great topic this week. Boredom or rather the elimination of boredom.

“Maybe you’ve fallen into a routine of doing things the same way every single day. Hanging out with the same people, eating the same meals, listening to the same music, taking the same vacation to the same spot each year, etc.

Hopefully this will help shake you out of it…
It’s too easy for life to simply pass you by unless you proactively create your own FUN plans! You are responsible for your own enjoyment out of life – stop waiting for others to do that for you.”

Exactly what I have been saying… Fun Fun Fun. And I love his idea of getting out there and creating fun in your life, rather then just waiting around for fun to happen to you.

So what are you doing for fun?? What are you going out there to GET from life?

What the heck are you waiting for?? Email me you definitely need someone to help you get moving!! Lori@foundationcoaching.com

Action Challenge:
Use a daily planner or a calendar to schedule in some personal time for yourself. If it is written down somewhere where you will see it, you are more likely to do it. Schedule personal time for yourself on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis. You can start out with small 5-10 minute blocks of time or schedule larger blocks of time. Make it doable for yourself. Here are some suggestions.

* Set the alarm clock 5 to 10 minutes early and spend that time doing some deep breathing, pre-planning you day or doing some stretching.
* Spend an extra minute in the shower to just enjoy it.
* Park farther away from you destination to get some exercise and fresh air.
* Take the stairs when possible.
* Drink more water, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables.
* Get 7 to 9 hours of sleep every night.
* Spend at least 30 minutes doing something just for you.
Exercise, read, listening to music, find a hobby, participate in a sport.

Weekly
* Schedule 3 to 5 session of exercise for the week
* Pre-plan your healthy meals for the whole week.
* Schedule one evening for yourself.

Monthly

movie, night out with the guys, girls or spouse.

Yearly

Make It A Great Year, Only You Can.

Stress has become a major cause of anxiety and panic attacks. If not dealt with, it can have an incapacitating effect on your life. Is Your Self-Esteem Letting You Down?

How can negative self-esteem spill over into your life and affect everything you say and do? Read this one particular account, and ask yourself if it has a familiar ring.

“They used to say I was born with a fork in my mouth. I was always told to eat everything on my plate. Growing up in an Italian family, while our meals primarily consisted of pasta and bread; I wouldn’t consider myself to be someone who ate constantly. The overriding factor contributing to my weight was sweets.

In addition, I inherited my father’s genes; which unfortunately consisted of a large frame, and a tendency to gain weight more easily. Conversely, my mother’s side of the family was thin. To add insult to injury, my sister was fortunate enough to inherit my mom’s genes.”

Lead by example

One of my strongest principles is to lead by example.

This is not easy sometimes but it is important. It gives you a goal to work toward and it is rewarding for both you and the people around you.

Granted no one is perfect you are exactly the way you are. But Reach for the goal.

To that end, I am off on a week long vacation, open air, great scenery and no email or phone.

I’ll be back in a week, with a tan and ready to get to work!

See you all then!

Your Inner Child wants to play!

A big part of creating more success in life is rewarding yourself when you succeed. So, it’s important to reward your inner child as well. Every time you work hard to meet a goal, the part of you that just wants to have fun has to sit still and be good. However, just like any kid, if it knows it will be rewarded later with a treat, it will hang in there with you.

How can you reward your inner child?
• Take a 20-minute walk after an hour or two of concentrated work
• Go for walks in the morning with your spouse, friend, or significant other
• Take 20 minutes to listen to music and daydream
• Take most weekends totally off
• Take several weeklong vacations throughout the year
• Get regular massages • Engage in daily meditation, exercise and yoga
• Take music lessons
• Go to movies, concerts and plays
• Listen to comedy tapes and watch the Comedy Network
• Listen to motivational audio programs when driving
