It also allows me to get a glispe into other people&#8217;s lives.  I am a people watcher at heart so this is great fun.</p>
<p>Reading Yanik Silver blog <strong>Internet Lifestyle</strong>.  He had a great topic this week. Boredom or rather the elimination of boredom.</p>
<p><em>&#8220;Maybe you’ve fallen into a routine of doing things the same way every single day. Hanging out with the same people, eating the same meals, listening to the same music, taking the same vacation to the same spot each year, etc.</p>
<p>Hopefully this will help shake you out of it…<br />It’s too easy for life to simply pass you by unless you proactively create your own FUN plans! You are responsible for your own enjoyment out of life – stop waiting for others to do that for you.&#8221;</em></p>
<p>Exactly what I have been saying&#8230; Fun Fun Fun.  And I love his idea of getting out there and creating fun in your life, rather then just waiting around for fun to happen to you.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Action Challenge:<br />Use a daily planner or a calendar to schedule in some personal time for yourself. If it is written down somewhere where you will see it, you are more likely to do it. Schedule personal time for yourself on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis. You can start out with small 5-10 minute blocks of time or schedule larger blocks of time. Make it doable for yourself. Here are some suggestions. </p>
<p>Daily<br />* Set the alarm clock 5 to 10 minutes early and spend that time doing some deep breathing, pre-planning you day or doing some stretching.<br />* Spend an extra minute in the shower to just enjoy it.<br />* Park farther away from you destination to get some exercise and fresh air.<br />* Take the stairs when possible.<br />* Drink more water, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables.<br />* Get 7 to 9 hours of sleep every night.<br />* Spend at least 30 minutes doing something just for you.<br />Exercise, read, listening to music, find a hobby, participate in a sport.</p>
<p>Weekly<br />* Schedule 3 to 5 session of exercise for the week<br />* Pre-plan your healthy meals for the whole week.<br />* Schedule one evening for yourself.</p>
<p>Monthly<br />* Schedule some extreme self care. Massage, facial, manicure, weekend away, sports,<br />movie, night out with the guys, girls or spouse.</p>
<p>Yearly<br />* Schedule at least one week of vacation with no work allowed.<br />* De-clutter your physical environment.</p>
<p>Make It A Great Year, Only You Can.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Unfortunately, there are many times in our lives when stress creeps in and causes great angst. Life is busy and work, kids, school and responsibilities can seem overwhelming at times. Do you feel stress getting you down? Here are some tips to help deal with stress and its after-effects.</p>
<p>Stress has become a major cause of anxiety and panic attacks. If not dealt with, it can have an incapacitating effect on your life. More often than not, most people with A-type personalities are prime candidates for stress induced symptoms. The perfectionism they seek in everything they do never quite measures up to their expectations. This is not a perfect world; and it’s time those who live in it realize they aren’t perfect either.</p>
<p><span id="more-83"></span>Most people deal with stress in different ways; either they ignore the initial problem which caused it; retreat within themselves, or fall apart. However, those who recognize the signs nip it in the bud before it completely takes over. Using simple exercises can relieve the onset of stress.</p>
<p>For example: While sitting at your desk at work, breathing exercises can bring you back to a calm state. Going outside for some fresh air also helps.</p>
<p>Walking or running for 20 minutes can release endorphins which relieve stress. Listening to classical music lowers the blood pressure, and brings calm within.</p>
<p>Sometimes, however, stress reveals itself in other ways. Lightheadedness, an inability to focus, feelings of pressure and palpitations are all symptoms of stress. Moreover, continued stress can produce anxiety, panic, and the fright or flight syndrome. Here is one such case of how stress can simply overwhelm and, in some cases, debilitate. A secretary was called into her administrator’s office, which was quite large and comfortable. As she was taking dictation, she suddenly found it hard to breathe; began to lose focus; and a queasy feeling in her stomach ensued. She could no longer concentrate on his voice, and ran out of the room.</p>
<p>Unbeknownst to her, she had just experienced an anxiety attack brought on by stress. However, while there was nothing stressful going on at the time, she later identified the cause. An unpleasant thought had entered her mind while she was taking dictation, causing fear to take over forcing her to flee the office.</p>
<p>Upon further examination, it was determined the stress in her home life simply became too much, and filtered its way in to her work day.</p>
<p>If stress is getting you down, examine the cause. Determine the origin, and discuss it with a professional or a loved one. Stress, if not acted upon, can cause serious health problems.</p>

Do you find that you become tired more frequently, lose patience easily, experience moodiness, and are so stressed that you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel? Have you lost contact with your friends? Has fun completely gone out of your life?</p>
<p>While we tend to think we can do it all; the problem is we can’t. We forego simple pleasures, take on unnecessary burdens and, quite frankly, put other’s needs before our own. This is a recipe for ill-health, depression, and overall sadness. It’s time to sit down and determine how to live a balanced life.</p>
<p><span id="more-82"></span>Performing selfless acts is noble, but it takes a toll we may not be aware of. There is nothing wrong with being selfish. While everyone seems to be concentrating on themselves, you are focusing on them.</p>
<p>The first step to a balanced life is to think about you and your needs. If you fall apart, you won’t be of any use to anyone. Selfishness is not defined by an inability to help others; it is the means by which you regenerate yourself by focusing on your own needs. Simple ordinary pleasures can make a world of difference in your life such as: a manicure, a day out with friends; a new outfit.</p>
<p>You’re mental and emotional state has more to do with the balance within than you realize. Worry drains us; yet we can’t seem to control it. We tolerate many things which essentially drain our energy, leaving us feeling empty and void of feeling. Sleepless nights ensue, and the cycle begins all over again the next day. Confront the problems head on; let the water out of the tank before it bursts open. Worry about the things you can control.</p>
<p>Protect your space from intruders who are intent on invading your thoughts and inner peace. If someone is rude or makes a disparaging remark; walk away. If a situation arises creating angst, deal with it then let it go. Don’t let it disrupt your life by claiming it as your own. You didn’t create it, nor are you responsible for it. Try not to solve the ills of the world or place the burden on your shoulders. Life is hard enough without placing unimportant needs ahead of your own.</p>
<p>A path well taken is one of integrity and honesty.</p>
<p>Love yourself; look in the mirror every morning and acknowledge the unique person you are.</p>
<p>Empower yourself to accomplish your most intimate goals.</p>
<p>Acknowledge the kindness and good in you; you may be hard pressed to fine anyone who will.</p>
<p>Conduct yourself with dignity and honor.</p>
<p>Finally, take charge of your life; nurture it, reward it; and the balance within will reveal itself through the smile on your face, and the gleam in your eyes.</p>
